Glossary
Joins Seamlessly means the content was recorded in one take and split in editing.
Joins Non-Seamlessly means the content was recorded in separate takes but on the same day, using the same lane, within a short time. There will be a jump of vehicle and pedestrian traffic but other than that the two scenes can be merged.
New Titles
Start with a reasonable title. This will eventually be used on the public site. The title can be changed at any time. All fields are editable. Click on a field, edit, click somewhere else and it saves itself. The address line is separated into Prefecture, City (市,区) and Area. Buyers probably won't know the difference between Ni-Chome or San-Chome so lets just say `East Shinjuku` for now (if they do know, that's not our business). Routes that span several districts should leave the 3rd address space blank.
Maplinks
(This part works MUCH better on a keyboard-mouse device)
Go to Google Maps ( or Google マップ ). Use the directions function to select a route. Click on the map, do not type in an origin name. Ensure you choose `Driving` mode. Yes, the direction is important. We will use this later to sync the video with the map location. It breaks if the route direction is opposite the driving location. And if the driver uses this they will go the "wrong" way. Adjust the route as needed. Google will optimize your route for best time, not for shortest distance and definitely not for the way you want to go. And it knows about road closures like Ginza on weekends. You will probably want to choose Avoid → Tolls and adjust the departure time to 4am weekdays to prevent Maps fighting you for a route. Click and drag within the route to change the roads. If you see odd routings at the beginning, end or anchor points, check that you have not put the marker on the other side of the street. If it looks like the route is making a u-turn or a small loop, this is the likely cause. Center and scale the map so the whole route is visible. This will eventually be used on the public site so make it look nice.
